Disclaimer over: Ready to get started? Let’s dive right in.

First, I have sorted the zero-waste Christmas decoration into two parts- Tree decoration and house decoration. Feel free to jump whichever part applies to you.

Tree Decoration:

Dried Fruit:

This is generally so pleasant and smells incredible. Many people love drying out citrus fruits, like orange, strawberry, and lemon, but you can also choose dried fruit to add a unique touch to your tree. Use twine to hang dried fruit on the tree.

Popcorn/cranberry laurel:

This is an exemplary DIY that isn’t to be laughed. A Popcorn/cranberry laurel is doing decent; you can mix the two and create a unique pattern. All you need is to do, layout the popcorn and cranberry laurel in a pattern you like. I made it in a circular pattern. Just string them in. Take a popcorn, push the needle, tie a loose and secure knot. Then, you can keep stringing through your pieces in the pattern you have chosen. At the end of the garland, take the first knot and the last knot and tie them together. After Christmas, you can keep popcorn/cranberry in your backyard and let the birds to eat it.

Crocheted Ornaments:

They are so charming and lovable. If you keen to crocheted, then this one’s for you. When I think of vintage Christmas ornaments, crocheted ornaments come to my mind. You can crochet everything, right from the adorable little stockings to love snowman; there are so many things you can make by crocheting to decorate a tree.

Cinnamon applesauce ornaments:

Easy cinnamon applesauce ornament is a must make a festive craft. They are perfect for hanging on the tree. You only need a few ingredients to make cinnamon applesauce ornaments. Take 1 C smooth applesauce and 1/4 ground cinnamon, and make with your kids.

Reuse old ornaments:

If you don’t want to hurt your planet this festive season, then reuse what you have. It will surely keep things out of the landfills. And, if you treat your old ornaments with extra care, they run longer without losing their finish.

Home Decoration:

Fresh Greenery Wreath:

Do you love the smell of pine? If yes, then make a fresh greenery wreath with it. If you have an artificial wreath of the last year, then use it. If not, I suggest you create a fresh greenery wreath with pine. Take the fallen branches of the trees, and mold them into the circle shape. Then get a bunch of pine, pay it on the base and wrap it. Continue adding pine to the wreath by overlapping the previous one, and make sure all the gaps get filled. Secure the wreath by tying off the final bunch with a few knots.

Candles:

Candles make the room warm and fuzzy. Purchase beeswax or soy candles, and avoid artificial-fragrance candles (Injuries to health).

Plants:

A little plant would make a lovable design, or on the other hand, it makes the welcoming ambiance stylish and fresh. If you have a yard, you can transfer the small and beautiful plants to your party space.

Vintage:

Go to your local vintage store, and you may be amazed at what you find! A stunning Christmas bowl to keep sweets and candies, a beautiful candle holder, a gorgeous bell, an umbrella, and a few more. These are tons of zero waste Christmas decorations you can find at your local vintage store.

Old ornaments:

One of the simplest and time-saving ways to celebrate zero-waste Christmas is reusing your old ornaments. I have many old ornaments like LED lights, statues, and wallpapers that I will use this Christmas. Just use what you got!

Now, if you’ll please excuse me, I am going to decorate my Christmas tree.

If you have any other zero waste Christmas decoration tips in the comment section, please let me know.
